Flu Season has begun - Here are some preventive measure to prevent it

1.  Get a Flu Shot
2.  Take everyday preventive measures
Wash your hands with soap and water throughout the day for at least 20 seconds.  We tell the kids to sing happy birthday twice in their head.  That should be about the right amount of time.
If you cannot wash your hands, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer
Stay away from those who are already sick
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and dispose of the tissue immediately.
Try not to touch eyes, nose or mouth.  Germs often spread this way.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.

Signs of the Flu
Fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.  Some people also have vomiting and diarrhea.  People may also have the flu or symptoms without a fever.

If you think you have the flu - Consult your doctor immediately.  He may prescribe anti-viral drugs like Tamiflu.  These work best if received within 2 days of getting symptoms.
